Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Wikivec Inc. (“we”) collects when you use Gadget Tests, and why. The short version: the tests run on your device, and nothing you see, say or film is sent to us.

Camera and microphone

The mic and webcam tests ask your browser for access only when you press Start. The sound and picture are processed inside your browser and shown back to you. They are never uploaded, recorded on a server or stored by us. A mic recording or webcam snapshot you make stays in your browser's memory, or on your device if you save it, and is discarded when you leave the page.

What we do collect

• Standard request logs from our host (IP address, browser, pages requested), kept for security and reliability.
• If analytics is on: which tests are used and whether they finish, without cookies and without any camera or mic data.
• If ads are on: what our ad provider collects, described below.
• If you pick a light or dark theme, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only. “Match my device” saves nothing.

Ads and cookies

Gadget Testsis free because it shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and measure them. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalised ads or ad cookies are used, through Google's consent message, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy link it provides. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.

Who processes data for us

• Vercel: hosting the website. Data: IP address and request logs.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, and to object to or restrict its use. Because the tests store nothing about you, there is usually nothing to delete; ad and consent choices are managed through Google's consent message. Contact us with any request.

Children

Gadget Tests is a general-audience site and isn't directed at children under 13.
